Key Highlights from the Event
Speech by Philemon Yang
Former Prime Minister Philemon Yang, who heads the regional campaign team, told the crowd that while all 12 candidates in the race are “good Cameroonians,” not all have the same leadership qualities.
“All candidates for the October 12 elections are good Cameroonians, but not all possess the same qualities,” Yang said. “The opposition has spent much time criticising the president, but they are not offering a viable plan for the future.”
Yang defended President Paul Biya against criticisms over his age, insisting that political leadership requires wisdom and long-tested experience.
Youth Voices Join the Call
Youth leader Kuma Edison echoed the campaign manager’s remarks, urging young Cameroonians to embrace their role in shaping the country’s future.
“This election is unlike any other. Age is not the deciding factor; wisdom and experience are what we need,” Edison said in an interview. “The CPDM is not just for the elderly; it includes all generations.”
Edison, speaking particularly to youth in Menchum North, called on his peers to educate, sensitise, and mobilise others in support of Biya.

Philemon Yang outlined President Biya's vision for the nation:
He encouraged citizens to embody the "4 Ps": Passion, Perseverance, Persistence, and Patience, as they work together towards a better Cameroon.
Local Leaders Mobilise
