CCJN Champions Climate Action: Highlighting Achievements and Honoring Environmental Leaders

The Cameroon Climate Journalist Network (CCJN) hosted a vibrant celebration for World Soil Day in Bamenda, emphasizing sustainable practices and environmental recognition. The event showcased a variety of activities, including insightful discussions led by Farmer Tantoh on water conservation using indigenous techniques.

This year's theme, "Healthy Soils for Healthy Cities," highlights the importance of urban soils in building sustainable and resilient communities as populations increasingly migrate to urban areas.

Message from the National Coordinator

Tamukong Roland Angong, the National Coordinator of CCJN, delivered a powerful speech celebrating the network's achievements over the past 12 years. He emphasized the importance of media mobilization in promoting climate resilience. Here are some key points from his address:

 Community Impact and Future Plans

The CCJN continues to run campaigns focusing on various environmental aspects such as climate justice, wetland restoration, wildlife conservation, and tree planting initiatives. Plans for expansion include the establishment of a climate-focused FM radio station and television programming aimed at raising awareness and promoting sustainable practices.
