Nkwen's Shift: A New Dawn for CPDM

Supporters of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) in Mezam 1C, Bamenda III, have united to pledge an overwhelming victory for incumbent candidate Paul Biya in the upcoming presidential election on October 12, 2025. Nkwen, a Municipality long considered a stronghold of the SDF political party, is taking a bold step forward by pledging support for the CPDM party in the upcoming presidential elections. This significant decision was made during a well-attended rally held at New Road on October 10, 2025.

A Vision for Development

Prof. Biban Sammy, the CPDM Mezam 1C Supervisor, emphasized the various development projects planned for Nkwen, urging attendees to make a choice that would benefit the community. He stated:

> "Paul Biya has his heart here and loves our people, providing us with much despite our past ungratefulness. We have a referral hospital waiting to be built, a dry sea port, and many other initiatives that the president has brought to us."

He expressed confidence that the residents of Nkwen are beginning to recognize their past mistakes and are ready to support Biya, who he described as the only candidate capable of addressing their needs.

A New Direction

Che Ndaka Nicholas, the CPDM Section President for Mezam 1C, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the importance of voting for Biya:

> "We are fortunate that Cameroon is giving Paul Biya another chance. It's time to reject those who have misled us and support a leader who has proven experience."

He called on the crowd to mobilize the 36,000 registered voters in the area to ensure a strong turnout on election day, emphasizing that Biya's victory would benefit all.

Community Support and Development

HRM Fon Azehfor III, the Fon of Nkwen, reinforced the importance of Biya’s leadership, recalling how he was crowned Fon of Fons by regional leaders. He urged every household and neighborhood to rally behind Biya for the sake of development:

> "We now have a district hospital, a referral hospital coming up, and significant infrastructure like the Mile 4 bridge. Let's ensure our votes reflect our commitment to peace and development."

A Father's Assurance

Fongod Edwin Nuvaga, Vice President of the CPDM Mezam Divisional campaign team, highlighted Biya's fatherly nature, encouraging the crowd to support him for the ongoing and future projects in Nkwen:

> "Paul Biya welcomes even the prodigal son; he has worked hard to realize several projects in our community."

Dr. Ndonwi Peter, the Vice President for Mezam 1C, showed the audience the white ballot paper featuring Biya's image and the CPDM emblem, motivating voters to make their choice clear.

In a show of solidarity a team from Mezam 1 A stopped by the rally to show their Support and Unity.
